FYHS is extremely proud of our team of four brilliant students - Yosef Kostousov, Shmuel Kostousov, Eitan Goizman, and Aharon Levitt – who won first place at the third annual KoHack event, North America's premier Yeshiva High School Coding Hackathon, hosted by Kohelet Yeshiva.
Returning for their second year, our team showcased incredible skill and creativity in this unique computer "hacking" competition. Tasked with developing an innovative solution to combat the global rise of antisemitism, they conceptualized an app designed to empower Jewish communities worldwide. Over two intensive days, they engaged in brainstorming, coding, designing wireframes, and delivering compelling presentations, all while competing against nearly 10 teams from six schools.
Chaperoned by beis midrash student, Shua Spak, our team's success at KoHack 2024 is a testament to their dedication, talent, and the skills fostered at FYHS. We are incredibly proud of this huge achievement. Congratulations to our champions on their well-deserved win!
