On May 31st, 2022, Fasman Yeshiva High School was honored to host our 41st Annual Siyum and Awards Ceremony. The night began with a siyum on Maseches Makkos by FYHS freshman Ilan Brand, and a siyum on Maseches Beitza by FYHS junior, Yonatan Simkovich. The siyumim were dedicated in memory of Eli “Moose” Greenberg z"l, who had worked tirelessly on the annual siyum each year; the siyumim should be an aliyah for his neshama.
Following opening words and divrei bracha from CEO, Rabbi Shmuel Schuman and Rosh HaYeshiva Emeritus, Rabbi Avraham Friedman, the awards ceremony began by recognizing the many talmidim who participated in a variety of extra learning opportunities throughout the year. Rabbi Kupchik and Rabbi Sheinfeld then presented awards to members of each shiur for excellence in learning, progress, and middos tovos, followed by special awards given to students in the senior class.
The siyum was accompanied by lively music, leibidig dancing, and lots of ruach from our students. It was so beautiful to watch our talmidim celebrate each other’s achievements and cheer each other on. A special mazel tov to The Outstanding Talmid of the Year, Avidon Garfinkel!
We’re so proud of our many talmidim for their effort and time dedicated to Torah learning. Thank you to our family and friends for joining us in celebrating this milestone.
